Webinar – National Foundation Skills Professional Standards Framework

Who is a foundation skills specialist?
Is there a foundation skills field?

Answers to these questions are being explored through a national project to scope the development of a foundation skills professional standards framework.

The scoping project is underway to generate discussion among those working in foundation skills to define and strengthen the identity of the field, advance the status and standing of the profession and explore options for developing professional standards.

Discussion points in the consultation paper seek to prompt thinking about the nature of the foundation skills field and the attributes of those working in it.

Webinar recordings from two consultation workshops are now available at these links:

1. Thursday 12 September 9am-10.30am

2. Tuesday 17 September 4pm-5.30pm

Click on the links to be taken to Blackboard Collaborate. Once you enter the Blackboard Collaborate space go to the Playback file option and then click PLAY.

Please be aware that the playback is not interactive – so when you see the screens inviting you to type in you won’t be able to do that on the screen. You might like to have a sheet of paper in front of you and capture your thoughts.

Responses to the paper are due by 11th October, 2013. Please send responses to Penelope Gray, Executive Officer, FSWD Project at fswd@tafesa.edu.au.
