The National Foundation Skills Community of Practice is one element of the National Foundation Skills Strategy project.
The Foundation Skills Community of Practice follows the success of the Foundation Skills Champions Network which operated in 2013. Under the NFSS Project, the network has been rebranded as a ‘community of practice’ (COP) to better reflect the identity of members and support mechanisms for expansion and future sustainability.
Sixteen members of the Community of Practice have been selected to ensure representation from a diversity of education and training environments. Their breadth and depth of knowledge about foundation skills make Community of Practice members an ideal source of information and guidance on foundation skills policy and practice.
